You don't even need to understand to plot(which is good by the way). Just sit back and soak up the descriptive text. Titus Alone, if it is in this volume doesn't merit 5 stars but Titus Groan most definitely does.

Complex and engaging gothic fantasy. Highly entertaining portrait of a crumbling dynasty so caught up in tradition and ritual that they are unable to perceive anything beyond it!
