Lavinia (Ursula Le Guin)

Thought I'd temper the massive tide of gushing 5 star reviews a bit. This was a superb book and it's hard to find too much fault with it but I did think it maybe lacked a bit of the wow factor I would expect from a five star book. I thought it was well paced in general but did drag at points and although I really enjoyed reading it it hasn't really stayed with me as much as some other books have. Interesting ideas and a rather wonderful relationship between the fictional lead character and the poet Virgil who created her make this well worth a read though. Original and enjoyable.
