A better than expected pulp fantasy that was clearly influential and a first of it's kind but doesn't really say very much to a modern audience other than: "Look how much better sci-fi literature is these days". 3 stars though for originality and it was quite enjoyable.

Not the best written novel...but the closest thing you'll get to a 30's movie serial in paper-form (or electronic form for all you e-book readers out there). Only takes about 2 hours to read but it's one of the most entertaining 2 hours you can have.
