The Stone Gods (Jeanette Winterson)

A very bitty novel consisting of 3 stories on a theme. The first is quite good, the others belabor the point to irritation

I wavered between 3 and 4 stars for this. It's not perfect by any means but it had a lot of good ideas and although it seemed to lose it a bit towards the end I liked it. Perhaps the point was a bit too heavy handed which meant it felt at points as if it was a bit preachy but that's a small quibble in the grand scheme of things.
