The Windup Girl (Paolo Bacigalupi)

This was really good. Probably ther first proper sci-fi novel of the Global Warming age which paints a scarily realistic picture of life after the oil has run out. It feels really well researched and clearly the author knows a lot about his subject which adds the sense of helplessness the reader feels about the current environmental uncertainties.
